About the Maker
Hey ya'll! I wanted to hop on and let ya'll know a little bit more about me and my business.
I was born and raised in Alabama (War Eagle). My parents moved our family to beautiful North Carolina when I was 16. Since then, the Old North State has been my home, where I met my amazing and supportive husband, Bobby.
I've worked mainly as a vet assistant, and loved it, but decided I wanted to make a change and work more on my art. My husband and I started an apparel company, where I got to work on my skills as a graphic designer. While I still love my work over at his company, I wanted something that was a little more authentic to me.
I have been around horses since I was a young girl, and always found some peace not just on the back of a horse or while caring for them, but while cleaning tack as well. I decided to do some research and digging into saddlery and fell in love with leatherwork within 2 videos on Youtube. I received a beginner leatherworking kit for Christmas, and a few more orders to leather supply stores, and I knew I wanted to try and create a business from it.
Outside of leatherwork, I am a Christian. I am a wife to my amazing husband, Bobby, fur mom to two cats, a dog, and a bearded dragon. I am a huge advocate for veterinary staff mental health, and I am a science and history nerd. I love to read, and often take open courses available online from major universities just for fun. I've found a new passion in Western riding, and enjoy every time I climb in the saddle. It's like Winston Churchill said, "There's something about the outside of a horse that's good for the inside of a man," (or lady in my case!).
